Pro-Trump Lawyer Surrenders In Michigan After DC Arrest, Dominion Leaks

After a crazy week in which she was called a fugitive and spent a night in jail after being arrested in Washington, DC, pro-Trump attorney Stefanie Lambert turned herself in to police in Michigan on Thursday in connection with her indictment for meddling with the 2020 election. DJ Hilson, the special prosecutor who brought charges against Lambert in Michigan, has confirmed that she turned herself in on Thursday morning and appeared in Oakland County Circuit Court. Following the judge’s decision, she was taken into jail for the express purpose of collecting her DNA and fingerprints, as stated by Hilson. “The judge ruled that the bench warrant in Michigan is now set aside,” Hilson said.

The attorney for Lambert, Daniel Hartman, also confirmed that she turned herself in, as she had promised to do after being freed from custody by a judge in the District of Columbia earlier this week. According to Hartman, the fingerprints of Lambert will not be entered into the system “until further order of the court.” Prosecutors have been attempting to obtain Lambert’s fingerprints, but she has been fighting against this.

A few days after Lambert was taken into custody at the federal courts in Washington, DC, he turned himself in. Immediately after she took part in a two-hour hearing in the defamation action brought by Dominion Voting Systems against her client, former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne, involving his false assertions concerning the 2020 election, she was taken into jail by United States marshals on Monday.

During that hearing in the defamation action that was held in Washington, DC, the topic of discussion was Lambert’s recent disclosure of internal Dominion emails, which she received through her representation of Byrne. However, Lambert was arrested in the District of Columbia, and then turned herself in on Thursday in the state of Michigan. This was because a warrant was issued for her arrest since she had failed to appear at recent hearings in her criminal case.

Her indictment was handed out in the previous year in connection with an attempted breach of the election system in the state of Michigan. This was one of several cases that occurred in battleground areas when fans of Donald Trump attempted to establish their beliefs about voter fraud after he was defeated in the 2020 election.
