Bernadette Bevan Obituary, Death –  Bernadette Bevan, a prominent and beloved member of the Westerleigh community, passed away on March 27, 2024, and the entire globe said its goodbyes to her. She died away without any pain or suffering, surrounded by her devoted family. Bernadette was a dedicated wife to Stanley Bevan and a loving mother to Eleanor Iannelli, Frances Picciallo, and Diane Loughery. She was also a passionate lover to her children. A grandmother to ten grandchildren and three great-granddaughters, she took great satisfaction in her position as a grandmother to her grandkids.

In Honor of Bernadette’s Life And Legacy

In addition to being born on Staten Island, Bernadette received her high school diploma from Port Richmond. Irving Trust in New York City was her place of employment prior to beginning a family. It was well known that Bernadette had a lively personality and a great deal of passion for life. At the time that she became a mother to twins, she joined the Twins Mothers Club. She took advantage of every opportunity to become active, including joining the club.

While Bernadette was employed at the JCC and the College of Staten Island, she worked there for a number of years. As a family, she treasured the opportunity to go on adventures, and she and her husband and children took their RV and traveled the whole East Coast. Bernadette and Stanley were both interested in square dancing, and they were both active members of the dance community in their own communities.

The commitment that Bernadette had extended to the YMCA, an organization in which she was actively involved and which she felt had a unique place in her heart. During the holidays, her family-oriented character shone clearly, as she arranged wonderful events for Christmas and Easter that were treasured by everyone.

On Monday, April 1, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., located at 2508 Victory Blvd., in order to pay their respects. At 10:30 in the morning on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, a Funeral Mass will be performed at Holy Family R.C. Church. This will take place after the departure from the funeral home at 10:00 in the morning. After that, there will be a private cremation. For the purpose of commemorating Bernadette’s life, let us treasure the happiness and love that she brought into our lives, and let us always remember her vivacious spirit and the enduring legacy that she left behind of family and community.
