Lisa Meanor Obituary, 59, Resident of Crescent Township Has Passed Away

Lisa Meanor Death –¬†Lisa A. Meanor, 59, of Crescent Township, passed away on March 25, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. We regret to inform you of your loss. The family is grieving the loss of Lisa, but they take comfort in knowing that she is with God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the rest of the saints in heaven. Everyone in her circle of friends and community will hold her in the highest regard.

While reminiscing about Lisa’s numerous funny anecdotes, it became clear that her ability to persuade others to do things they normally would not do became her most defining characteristic. Her comedic timing was impeccable. Laughter, dancing, softball, volleyball, camping, crocheting, and knotting blankets were some of her favorite activities. Her devotion for her family and children was unconditional. It was her dogs that made her happy. “Troubles will come and they will pass,” reads Lisa’s tattoo, a gentle reminder to savor each day.

For the last three years, Lisa has been a member of West Hills Baptist Church, although she was born and raised in Glenwillard United Methodist Church. She believed that God spoke to her via cardinals, nature, prayer, and seemingly random rainbows. Her softball teammates affectionately called her “Church Lady” because she often skipped games to attend church. She selflessly served as a “Best Friend” to countless people, living the life of a disciple.

Charitable raffle basket donations, “paw parties” for the humane society, annual blanket donations to Children’s Hospital totaling hundreds of knotted and crocheted items, helping out strangers in need, and countless more silent acts of kindness and generosity occupied her spare time. The Crescent Township Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary was like a second family to her, and she was president of that organization. Lisa loved her job and her coworkers at Jamie’s Physical Therapy, where she was a front desk receptionist.

Austin (Dean) Whiteman, Jr.’s daughter Lisa was born after he passed away. Joey Shutka (Kristan), Jonelle Shutka-Williams (Ajax), and Mikey Shutka (Dani) are cherished children of her devoted mother, Jeanne Whiteman. Her sisters, Susan Selinsky-Whiteman, Renee Whiteman, and Janice Dierdorf (Eric) are also survivors. There are eight grandchildren and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-nephews.

West Penn Hospital, AHN Wexford, AGH, and Concordia of the South Hills all have our deepest gratitude for the kindness and compassion shown to our family during this horrible time. No viewing or funeral services will be held in observance of Lisa’s desire to be cremated. On May 11, 2024, at 1 PM, everyone is invited to Shouse Park in Crescent for a celebration of life. Giving to the Crescent Township Fire Department, the Crescent Township Police Department, or the Beaver County Humane Society in remembrance is preferable than sending flowers. Plans made by Copeland’s architects. Adversity is inevitable, but it is temporary.
