Obituary Of Joseph Then, 91-Year-Old Beloved Resident Of Philadelphia, PA, Has Sadly Died, Funeral Arrangements

Joseph Then Obituary, Death – The world said goodbye to Joseph C. on March 24, 2024. He was a cherished Opa, a loving father, a committed husband, and a revered patriarch. Joseph, who was ninety-one years old, died quietly in the company of his loved ones. He left behind a legacy of warmth, love, and devotion that everyone who knew him will always treasure. Conrad and Theresia Then, née Kroner, were the parents of Joseph. He grew up with his sister Bernadette Tyson and his late brother Karl Then. After graduating from North Catholic High School, he set the stage for a life characterized by perseverance, commitment, and a strong love for his family.

Joseph went on to work with his father painting houses after graduating from high school. After he eventually took over the company, he transformed it into a lifetime career distinguished by honesty, skill, and a strong work ethic. Joseph gained the respect and admiration of both his clients and coworkers because of his unwavering dedication to quality and his enthusiasm for what he did.

Joseph was a guy of profound understanding and simple pleasures, aside from his professional pursuits. He was a voracious reader who frequently lost hours reading stories of wisdom and adventure. He found comfort and delight in the pages of his books. In addition, he was a great fan of music and delighted in the tunes that his tape player produced. Spending time at the airport allowed Joseph to explore his passion with airplanes and the marvel of flying, which was one of his greatest delights in life. He felt calm and at ease as he watched planes take off and land since they served as a constant reminder of the limitless opportunities that lay just beyond the horizon.

Joseph’s family was the most important thing in his heart, though. For more than fifty years, he was a loving father to his daughters, Annette Barwis, Susan Then, Mary Procopio, and the late Joan Wing. He was also a devoted husband to his late wife, Joan E. Then. He loved his great-grandchildren and grandchildren with all of his heart, and they brought him immense pleasure and happiness.

Everyone who had the honor of knowing Joseph will really miss his presence. His family and friends will always hold a special place in their hearts for his kind smile, kind disposition, and steadfast love. On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at St. Cecelia’s Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, there will be a celebration of Joseph’s life. Visitation is from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, and family and friends are welcome to pay their last respects. At 10:30 AM, there will be a funeral mass. Joseph and his cherished wife Joan will rest in eternal peace at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, where Joseph will be laid to rest.
