On August 18, 2004, a park ranger was nearing Fish Head Beach in Jenner, California, which is approximately 165 miles southwest of Coloma, when they came across a red automobile that had been abandoned. He found the possessions of Lindsay and Jason inside the vehicle, which ultimately led to a frantic hunt for the pair who had gone missing. The tragic discovery of their bodies on the sandy coastlines below revealed that each of them had been shot in the head, resulting in a terrible consequence. The gorgeous coastline environment, which had previously been a symbol of peace and beauty, was now tainted by the shadows of brutality for which there is no words.
In spite of thorough investigations and numerous leads, including a person of interest called Shaun Gallon, the case remained unresolved for more than a decade, which caused the community to go through a period of terror and uncertainty. Sonoma County deputies responded to a domestic shooting at Shaun Gallon’s home in 2017, which resulted in the death of his own son, Shamus Gallon. This event provided a glimmer of hope for the future of the family. It is true that Shaun Gallon was not directly connected to the killings of Lindsay and Jason; but, his history of violent behavior and his unstable behavior threw a terrifying shadow over the inquiry, which reignited hopes of closure for the families and loved ones of the deceased.
